Crepe paper wreath

I have seen these cute crepe paper wreaths all over and I thought I would give it a try!
I had a lot of fun doing it, but it was time consuming....but totally worth it.
I think it turned out pretty cute!

I tried a couple of ways of displaying it!

Supplies needed:
1 foam wreath
1 pink roll of crepe paper
1 white roll of crepe paper
ribbon

I started out my cutting my crepe paper in about 20 in. strips.

Then crinkled them up. I also learned it was easier for me to fold the top down 1/3 of the way.
I just like the look I got better.

Just roll and twist....roll and twist...I dabbed a little hot glue here and there to get them to stay together.

Then you will have a pretty looking rose.!

Then glue it to your wreath and I also glued it to the rose beside it to get it to stay better.

After many rolls and twists, several hours later, and a few hot glue gun burns,
wallah!!!!

The display at the front door.....

....or the display in the frame???

Which do you like better???

  9. Love the wreath Trina. I think I like it best in the frame. We are doing something similar to this in craft club this month, but instead of a wreath we are making it into a topiary.

  18. That's super cute! I made something similar out of felt roses. I am in love with wreaths! Very nice! I have to say though, I like the door better. (I suppose it depends on the weather whether the wreath likes the door better!)
