Spring decor tutorial

As I promised, I am sharing my tutorial on how to make these cute Spring decorations that I am going to be giving away!

I started with 3 tiles from Home Depot, spring paper, mod podge, and my silhouette

Cut your paper the size of your tiles, a little smaller, and glue them onto your tiles. Make sure all the bubbles are out.
Then take some mod podge and a mini roller and spread evenly over each tile.

Now you have 3 tiles covered with paper.

Then I cut my vinyl out with my silhouette and rubbed them onto the tiles.
Then I Distressed the edges a bit.

I then put another layer of mod podge over them again, just so my vinyl doesn't come off.

Then I added a few gems to pretty them up a bit!

Then take ribbon and hot glue it onto the back of the tiles, make sure you have them centered and even.

I took some thinner ribbon and glued 2 pieces on the top so I could hang it.

And there you have it....some cute springy decorations!

monogrammed knife block

I saw this cute idea over at Brown paper packages and had to give it a try. It goes so cute with my black and white kitchen! For the tutorial click Here.

I don't think my husband loves it.....but who cares! I do!!!!

Fabric covered light switches

I actually did these a couple of years ago, so I don't have step by step,
but they were super easy.

Here is the one I did for my son's room

And here is the one I did for my daughter's room

All I did was measure how big the cover was and cut the material about 1/4 in. bigger.
Then I cut a slit for the light switch and then mod podged it on. It was so super easy and fast!

Monogrammed decorative plates!

I love monogrammed things! So, I came up with this!

I love the plates that I did below so much, I decided to make some more!
They were just too easy!!
I used the same method as I did for these, so if you want instructions click Here.
I basically did everything the same, except I taped off the edges when I painted it black, to give it a border, and cut out an R letter out of scrapbook paper, slapped it on and mod podged the whole thing!

Then I did this one for my sister. I took a flower paper punch, and punched out a whole bunch of flowers out of 3 different colors of cardstock, and mod podged it on. Then I took a T wood letter, purchased from Walmart, and covered it with material and glued it on!

Super Easy!!!

Decorative plates

These are one of my favorite things I've done!
They were so easy!!! And so cheap!

Here is a picture of the whole dining room!

Supplies needed:
3 plates
(I did one white and 2 black, found at Walmart)
3/4 in. white circle labels
1 sheet of scrapbook paper
mod podge


Instructions:
I just took these circle labels and placed them on the two black plates. On one I spaced them closer and the other farther apart. I just eye balled them and did my best to make them look straight. I did a lot of adjusting. When I had them how I wanted, I put a layer of mod podge on, to give it that finished look! That is the secret!!!
And then on the white plate, I just did a circle out of the scrapbook paper and mod podged it on.....sooo easy!!!

It took a total of about 20 minutes! And I love the way they turned out!

If you haven't guessed, most of my kitchen is in black and white!

Then I had my sweet hubby mount this plate rack to the wall, which I got at Joanns on clearance!! Horrah! Add your cute plates in
and stand back and admire!
